We engage community volunteers to teach Spanish on a weekly basis to groups of up to ten children at a time. Classes take place at child care centers, preschools, libraries, summer camps, and community centers. Currently, we offer programs in Newport County, Rhode Island, and we aim to expand.
The RI Early Learning & Development Standards (RIELDS) serve as a framework for our programs. We design our curriculum to stimulate learning using a hands-on, experiential, and interactive approach. Activities such as songs, games, art, books, etc. help build children’s vocabulary.

Toddlers & Preschoolers: Children ages 12 months-5 years old
Throughout the school-year, we offer up to five 6-week sessions to child care centers and preschools. We also offer an 8-week summer session. Volunteers introduce different themes through play, exploration, and sensory stimulation.

Children ages 5-8+ years old
During the summer we offer our programs to child care centers that currently run summer camps for school-aged children. Also, we are happy to offer programs as part of a summer camp that a school or non-profit organization may be running.
We are flexible in terms of timing depending on your organization's needs and our volunteers' availability. Contact us if you'd like to learn more about our summer programs for school-aged children.
